OUR KIRKPATRICK ESTATE WINERY TEAM
Sales & Marketing - Simon Kirkpatrick
Simon Kirkpatrick is the owner and general manager of Kirkpatrick Estate Winery. Simon, son of John & Bev Kirkpatrick and nephew to All Black legend Ian Kirkpatrick, has previously worked on offshore oil exploration rigs all over the world for 20 years. He grew up on the family farm just across the road from the winery and always thought the site had great potential. His agricultural university training and experience is well applied in the vineyard, and his versatility finds him running the cellar door, organizing festivals and functions, assisting during vintage as well as developing national and international sales.

Cellar Door Manager - Janine Christensen
Janine "J" recently made the move from Hawkes Bay to come and join the team at Kirkpatrick Estate Winery. She had an extensive career in IT with British Steel in Europe before coming back to NZ to continue her IT career with SkyCity in Auckland, then packed it all in to move to Hawkes Bay to establish a small "home cellar" syrah vineyard in the Tuki Tuki Valley. She then moved to the beef and lamb station next door to look after her elderly neighbours for the best part of 5 years. She now brings her varied and international experience to Kirkpatrick Estate cellar door. Her interest in wine has taken her through many of the worlds famous wine regions. Come and have a chat and share your experiences with her as she loves to hear what everyone else has been up to in their lives.

Financial Controller - Jennie Law
With extensive accounts experience, Simon's Sister Jennie has exceptional organisational skills and keeps the KEW accounts in line. Jennie always has a smile on her face and is happy to assist with any accounts inquiries. Jennie will always be seen behind the KEW stand at local wine events as well, as will her lovely smile! Jennie is an avid supporter of "The Tiniroto Mountain Warrior" Shane Cameron & has been at ringside for every one of his fights.
General Support Crew - John and Bev Kirkpatrick
John and Bev Kirkpatrick, Simon's parents have always been an integral part of the KEW team. They provided support in so many different ways, there are too many to list here! Just a moment away, John was always on hand to help out whether it be at Festivals or in the vineyard replacing posts, in the Winery helping load the press or load wine for despatch, he will be missed, but never forgotten. Bev is always quick to dash into town for a last minute request, to collect the twins from school, or wine from the warehouse. This "Super Woman" treats us with morning tea and hot dinners during vintage, as well as helping with the Cellar door gardens too! No team could ask for a better support crew than Simon's parents.
John (JK) was involved in an accident on his farm Aorangi on the 14th January 2013 and passed away, he is very much in our thoughts everyday. Take it easy JK.
Leaf Plucker Agent - Paul "Harold" Kirkpatrick
Paul aka Harold provides the woolly leaf pluckers and helps out through the year with vineyard tasks & wine events. He is always quick to raid the jelly bean jar when he pops into the KEW Cellar Door for an espresso.
Harold's full time job is with Silver Fern Farms as a stock agent, but his true passion is Polo and commentating and he has established World Class Polo Productions. Regarded as one of the New Zealand's premiere commentators (he won the coveted Sholto Matthews Commentators Cup at the 2002 Savile Cup), he gives this great game a voice that keeps spectators totally consumed and on the edge of their seat right to the final bell.Visit his website www.worldclasspolo.com
